Can someone explain to me why Modi lost Bihar?

  • People relate to his policies (especially youth like me, my friends and my whole class).
  • India till date hasn’t got such a dynamic Prime minister. People of India always wanted such a powerful and high on impact PM. So,here he is is fulfilling  the common man’s fantasy. He has perfectly fitted into people’s scheme of thing.
  • He has a vision for India. He knows the problem of India and feels it. And really want to do something solid about it. This realisation has made people believe in him.
  • He’s a crowd puller. It shows his popularity. People are just mad to listen to him. He has this magic wand. (So, if so many people come to see him why don’t they vote for him.)Modi_with_crowd_gorakhpur_story_big
  • He has good marketing skills. A perfect branding and packaging for everything he does..and it ends up as a huge hit.
  • He’s very active on social networking platforms like Facebook ,Twitter. He has pipped the superstars of Bollywood in fan following.
  • Qualities like punctuality, fitness, endurance, workaholism, high energy level.indias-prime-minister-narendra-modi-performs-yoga-with-others-during-a-yoga-camp-to-mark-the-international-day-of-yoga-in-new-delhi-india-june-21-2015-reutersadnan-abidi
  • Strong diplomacy at international level.
  • And of course, then are his foreign connections.29-1443500669-modi-mark-zuckerberg2

It was the first time Mark Zuckerberg wore a shirt.

  • His campaigns like swach bharat, digital india, opening bank accounts for the poor, increasing woman power, make in india and eventually boosting India’s economy.

    1. As the Bihars People cast vote on caste basis
2.the polarization of muslim votes in favour of JDU+
3.most of the BJP votes did no caste their votes

  2. Jay Dixit · November 9, 2015

Negligence of Local Leaderships by Party President Amit Shah Ji is the key reason. 😦

  3. Dr Ashok rattan · November 9, 2015

PM Modi lost the election because Bihar voted along caste lines and there was no splitting of anti BJP votes. At any given time, in India only a minority of persons would wish india to progress and a good leader to emerge.

BIHAR’ its all about CAST .There is no other factor that effects in any election in bihar,This election was only Backward + Muslims Vs Forward.

  5. Harshil Patel · November 9, 2015

    1. Mr. Amit Shah ignored the local leaders and didn’t relied on them which provoked them to do anti bjp campaigning in silence..
    2. They didn’t have CM candidate..
    3. Caste and Muslim politics upheld throughout the election..

The man is from a criminal anti-India organisation RSS. His life is a lie. And by all accounts he is a criminal. He knows nothing about governance or economics. QED.

Foolish comment, what do you know about RSS?

    3) loose gun approach from top to bottom shall be controlled as it gives opportunity hot opponents
    4) it’s anti corruption activity shall continue, a irrespective of the party who had done it
    5) floor management
Is to be improved , liaison img with like mided parties shall be improved
    6) benefit of development shall reach the common man , it shall be percolated downwards
    7) handle opponents one by one and not in one lot

    • Vikramaditya Singh · November 10, 2015

So true.. if these points are considered there might be a better chance that the party might win.

  8. Tarunendu · November 10, 2015

It simply means that the people of Bihar have other things on mind…… such as casteism….favouritism…regionalism….sycophancy….nepotism….backwardness…corruption…. injustice…The Election was not about Bihar it was about Modi ji and BJP… Bihar has won and Biharis have lost….in other states…

    • Vikramaditya Singh · November 10, 2015

Mr.Tarunendu the point you have mentioned are quite correct and sure do answer my question.

  9. Pourush · November 10, 2015

Did you explore researching on Bihar’s progress under Nitish’s rule? Maybe the above comments have all the right answers but I’m surprised at the polarity of the comments. You should spend some time reading about how was Bihar under Lalu’s rule vs now? Maybe some explanation for BJP’s loss could lie there.

    • Vikramaditya Singh · November 11, 2015

But when Nitish joins hand with Lalu, it creates many doubts in my mind and I don’t understand why he has to oppose Modi just for the sake of opposing him.

A man was killed lynched because he was thought to have eaten beef in the provacy of his house, a dead woman was taped after her body was dug up from a coffin, churches were burnt, textbooks rewritten with wrong history, rapists are called saints, a 60-year-old author killed by goons on a bike! All under Modis watch! Bihar saw his hatred and voted him out.
